Single dark frames from a Nikon D300 DSLR (unmodified) and a CCD-Labs Q453 CCD camera were compared. In each case a single 5 minute dark frame was stretched in ImagesPlus with Digital Development at a value of 2000. The D300 was uncooled and the Q453 had TEC cooling on, to simulate normal conditions. The Q453 yielded smooth noise-free images compared to the D300. Note that at this level of stretch badpix removal had only a small benefit for the Q453 (not many visible hot pixels).
